Pet Crazy? Guess What I Did...

Hi,

I figured that you guys were the right to share this with... Not many

know... My sister would faint if she knew what I did... Oh well,

she'll find out one day, but...

In November I went to Denmark with work, for a seminar. I was on a

sick leave, but went anyway, I was allowed to rest whenever I needed

to. In the evening one of the days, we were going to get a surprise...

When we got down to the reception in the evening, we were told that

we were going to the Aalborg Aquavit factory. So off we went. I

didn't say anything, but had my doubts about it... When we got there,

I discovered that my doubts here right. First there was some huge

stairs up to the door. So I just said " No point in even trying, you

just go... " . So off I went...

I was a bit annoyed though, thinking " Will they never learn... " Is it

too much to ask that your collegues at least think of it and ask

ahead of time? Is it always you who have to make sure? One of them on

the comittee was at least a new employee, but the other two... Oh

well...

So I decided to go the long way back to the hotel, grab some sweets

on my way and veg out in front of the TV...

I almost got back to the hotel... But suddenly I saw a tattoo

parlor... Me... Me, who always said: " No way I am going to get a

tattoo!!!! " ... He-he... In I went, and after an hour I came back out

with a brand new tattoo on my shoulder... I made him make the

yin-yang symbol, only with a cute doggie paw on each side instead of

the " dot " there... It is about 2 " big, so it is not the tiniest

tattoo there is either... But I was really happy with myself, because

that symbol really sums up what I think about the relationship

between people and pets, especially dogs... :)

When I came back to the hotel, my colleagues called telling me that

they were at a bar, and asked me to come meet them there. Off I went

again. Then I had fun... He-he... I am allowed to be a bit rotten

sometimes, right? My boss started by making excuses and telling me he

was glad I didn't give it a try, because it would never have worked.

You should have seen the expression on my boss' face when I told him:

" Just so you know it, I am branded for life from this

experience!!!!! " . I just could not help myself... I laughed so

hard... I sure shocked both him and the others when I showed them my

new tattoo... :) I don't think I was the one they expected would go

and get one in the first place...

But joke aside... Actually the edge of it isn't really straight and

nice. I don't know if it is the tattoo artist's fault or if it is the

EDS, that the dye has " leaked " a bit. I remember somebody saying once

that that was a risk with EDS and tattoo's. Also it took a long time

to heal, actually it is still sore... And now it starts to get

psoriasis in it. But that can be dealt with. There's one advantage

though, you can't see the actual psoriasis, because it is black. You

can just see the dry white flakes...

WOW this list is busy... I haven't read postings today, and already I

am way behind on postings...

Aase Marit :)
