Hello everyone:

Today is my two year anniversary from my Orientation date: April 3,

2003.

Wow, so much has changed: parted ways with three good friends, two of

whom are morbidly obese; and Zach and I parted ways.

But there is so much to be happy for: -153 lbs! A new life! New

wonderful friends! Enjoy the new me!

I can't believe 2 years have passed--the two most difficult and

wonderful years of my life.

Congratulations Francisco on another anniversary. You have so many milestones since you started this wonderful journey. I think the biggest one that you have is that you have really become the person that in the past could only dream if being. Yes it is a great life. Full of wonderful things yet to come. Ramona

Hi Francisco,

I hope this doesn't seem like I don't respect boundaries, but I was telling one

of my students about your co-worker friendship betrayal/loss. She is an

author/motivational speaker and has a refreshingly wonderful way of cutting to

the chase in relationships. I often learn more from her than I teach.

We are both quite alarmed at what you went through during convalesance(sp) and

when you returned to work. She struck me with her empathy toward your

ex-friends (the blaggards in my eyes), saying " They need to separate who they

are (they must be/have been wonderful people for you to have befriended them)

from how they think others are seeing them (obese, failing-to act constructively

as you have).

I know you have been wronged and deeply wounded, and their twistedness is not

justification, but sometimes understanding helps put the pain in a smaller place

in our heart.

Just a thought, and Happy Anniversary!

Thank you for being such an incredible person and sharing here.

Francisco-

Two years. Quite a lot can happen in two years and you are a

walking testament to that. Now, what will happen the next two

years? You have gained such a wealth of knowledge and power, I am

thrilled by the prospects of your next two years!

The choices you've made are just a pre-cursor to the choices to

come...

Experience will show which choices have helped you. To learn from

experience, decide to keep making those choices.

Experience will tell you which choices have held you back. To

benefit from even your negative experiences, remember to avoid those

same kinds of choices.

The choices you've made have brought you to where you are. Now,

looking at those choices can show you how to get where you want to

go.

You've experienced the reality of what works and what doesn't. So

the choices you now make can be far more informed than those in your

past.

You've earned the ability to be very clear in your vision for the

best life can be. And you've earned the ability to make the choices

that will actually get you there.

Look back at the choices you've made, and consider what they have

brought you. They'll help you know what's best to choose now.

Have a great two years!

Rory
