I think you need to dig deeper into the archives and read much, much more before making a judgment call like this. I had fibroids for 16+ years prior to my embolization. I think that was MORE than long enough to give every holistic healing method " on the market " a chance to work its magic with my fibroids. Sorry, but when it came to the long haul of " curing " my fibroids, holistic treatment just didn't cut the mustard. No offense intended here -- but, I doubt seriously that the short period of time you've described for your own treatment of fibroids is long enough of a " cure " time for any of us to carte blanche jump on the bandwagon for holistic treatment either. Please understand that when you use absolute language such as " NO ONE " as in " NO ONE is willing to try the holistic approach... " , you do yourself and every other woman on this list group a grave disservice in judging us outright, collectively, and quite blatantly in a manner which can be construed quite offensively. You truly have no idea what I or anyone else on this group may have tried in an effort to gain relief from fibroids and it bothers me terribly to know that in less than one month (you joined this group on 12/12/03) such a sweeping generalization would/could be made. If there was a magic bullet cure (without horrific side effects!) to fibroids that allowed each and every one of us to avoid surgery forever, I can just about guarantee that every woman on this group would be running to get in line for it. As it stands, there has been research -- good research -- done on holistic treatment and fibroids. After 6 months, yes, there was equivalent symptomatic relief for the women in the study. However, the holistic measures required were expensive and far more work and horrifically time consuming on a daily basis than the majority of the women in the study could sustain over the long haul. So, most went on to some other curative treatment instead. We don't know of those holistic measures would have sustained relief over more than a 6 month period -- few women were willing to continue on the holistic regimen designed. Please spend a bit more time on reading the full history of women on this list group before making such sweeping judgments/conclusions about all of us. This group has been online for 5+ years and contains over 40,000 email messages -- a rich history of just about every treatment regimen you can imagine (and quite a bit I would bet you've never heard of!) has been discussed over the years on this group. Also, please continue posting your own progress -- as we are truly interested in reading about the long term efficacy of the treatment you've chosen for yourself.
