Thanks for all the valuable information you included with this; I'm printing the whole letter out and taking it with me to my appt. I do want to clarify one thing: the waiting and watching and all has been on my shoulders, not the doctors. I've been notorious for a long time for avoiding the doc, and frankly the only reason I see this guy at all is because he treated me at the emergency room for pneumonia, and I liked him. He does listen and doesn't automatically assume that I can't know what I'm talking about; he will probably give me lots of trouble over not coming back sooner. Not following up was a matter of $$ and nothing else; I live in Tennessee and unless you're dying or an illegal alien, health care is impossible to get. Seriously. A dear friend of mine was, literally, dying of cancer before this state and TennCare decided that maybe they should consider helping. (Thankfully she did get treatment and is in remission.) I made an appointment this morning, for next Monday (first thing available) afternoon. I guess I will have to see what it holds for me. Meanwhile, I'm making a really LONG list....
