Guest guest
Speaking of Lipomas - in an earlier message, I told about my visit to the endocrinologist. She felt the very large swelling on my neck (on the side of the implant that does not work at all) and identified it as a lipoma that needs to be removed. The swelling is the size of a baseball and very noticeable (and after manipulation very uncomfortable). I've been concerned about this since the first surgery on the right side and have felt the need to have something done about it but she was very clear in her opinion. It has to go. Guest guest
Dear Alice, Maybe that lipoma is the cause of some of your problems, and you will get some relief from its removal. Please don't forget what I learned from my vet and close friend, Dr. Pat. Our most beloved Afghan had one on his side, but since it never seemed to bother him, we left it alone. She cautioned that they are very tricky to remove because they have an extremely robust blood supply. I'd ask the doctor if human lipomas are the same. I'll bet they are. Good luck!
