Guest guest
UMMMMM! Hey, you guys....Serious question................... Is PARANOIA a symptom of EDS?? I don't know, but I could swear, if you read just about everything that's been on the site here the last day or 2, it sounds to me like , MEEEE, is being " set up " . Just in case I thought I was crazy, I copied just a few notes. OK........... Maybe I made a little suggestion like I was going to pay off this tattoo guy to disappear for the week that we'd be there........... But all of a sudden, it seems that it's been reported that I'm smuggling rope into Buffalo!!! Actually, you guys gave me a REALLY GOOD IDEA!! Now I have to go buy some rope! Except for one thing. How do I tie myself up?? 'Cause you guys just about have me ready to go with you & get a tattoo also!! And what would I get? Ummmm. I think a group pic of the crowd! What else? And, as far as the doggie supermarket. I just don't know...... Yorkies, birdies, poodles... Hey guys, at least I have an EDS doggie!!! Yes, I have a Chinese Sharpei! The ones with all the wrinkles & the stretchy skin!!! I'll have to get a good picture of her & post it & then I think we need a pet picture contest! Actually, maybe I should bring her, to control you guys, Ajia, my redhead Sharpei, I think is going to Buffalo! Nah, really.... Actually, I have a birdie too, I grew up with a poodle & I do love Yorkie's. BUT, I really do have a Sharpei. In a message dated 2/25/04 2:21:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, aase.m@... writes: He-he... Debbi Well, I still love you all & I really think we need someone to be in control of this crowd that apparently has loose screws, loose brain ligaments & has totally lost all sense of reality. Gosh, talk about the " bad girls conference " ...... where are all the guys?? Love you all, P.S. I made the terrible mistake of telling my hubby about this because he saw me laughing & he has, of course said " ABSOLUTELY NO, NO & THEN NO!!!!! So, we have a real glitch here. Hey, it's up to you guys, I'm not getting in the middle.......... Several of you know him, you've got quite of job convincing him. BUT, after 27 years of marriage, if he knows one thing, it's this: When he says to me, " Absolutely no " about anything, he can pretty much guarantee that I'm going to do it! I don't know, but I could swear, if you read just about everything that's been on the site here the last day or 2, it sounds to me like , MEEEE, is being " set up " . ------------------- In answer to your question, Paranoia categorically is not a symptom of EDS, as can be verified by a quick reading of dictionary definitions. My American Heritage Dictionary defines paranoia as " A ... chronic psychosis characterized by delusions of persecution ... strenuously defended by the afflicted with apparant logic or reason. " My Thorndike-Barnhart Dictionary defines it as " A chronic form of insanity characterized by elaborate delusions. " You, personally, may very well suffer from various other forms of insanity and/or elaborate delusions, but none that qualify as paranoia in the context of the recent posts you referenced. The operative word in both definitions is " delusion. " Since it is obvious from even a cursory reading of the various posts that you are in fact being " set up " you are not by definition being delusional and therefore are not paranoid. And since you are neither delusional nor paranoid, may I suggest you go to some " spy ware " store and pick up a pair of rear-view mirror glasses for the conference so you can more easily watch your back.
