Guest guest
Dear , Not only that I thank to my doctor, we are kissing and hugging every time we see each other. I went for check-up to his private practise, unfortunately not big enough to make operations. He knows I appreciate his work and that I trust his medical judgement, unfortunately he is sooo.. busy. I will do something to recognise his value in the media, but in January he leaves for a congress (I guess this is how he keeps himself up to date),I'll arrange something for February I think. Anyway his name is VASILE SUCIU. About encouraging the hospital to do more myomectomies let me tell you another humiliating story. In order to be admitted in this hospital I had to be checked by the head of the hospital in the presence of my doctor(and half of the population of the city). So while the " big and ugly guy " was dictating to somebody details of my anatomies the doctor was respectfully telling him about my treatment and use the expression " for conservation " , so he told over my body somehow " I don't think so " , I mean he never addressed to me for one second he spoke for the numerous audience in front of me. If I write to this guy a letter, what would you think I would obtain? One of his patient shared the room with me and there were three days after the operation and she didn't knew what happened with her. She kindly asked me to read with her her chart, and the poor women had cancer so her uterus was removed and he didn't had the time to speak with her. When I left she asked me my doctors number for her sister, because she appreciated the close and unique relationship I had with my doctor. But this is not a solution!!! I hope there are more Vasile Suciu in Romania, for sure he has a team for training, that is was I've been operated by three doctors, I suppose. Thank you for caring it really helps, even tough I'm tough and well balanced It helps to speak with people who shared the same experience. And beside the bleeding and the anemia the emotional stuff is the one is the one wich needs to be treated and unfortunately here noboy is looking in to that.A Happy and Healthy New Year, Neli Norton wrote: Neli, Did you write and thank your doctor? I know it sounds like a silly question, but everyone likes to get positive feedback. It may be that the Dr. had to persuade his superiors to be allowed to do the myo. Will you be going back to that hospital for post-procedure check-ups? If not, what about writing the doctor occasionally and keeping him up to date with your recovery news? Maybe you can get the doctor some positive coverage in the media. That might be positive for the hospital and provide them with even further incentives to perform further myos. I think getting the women in the cities that have access to the internet informed would be a very good first step. These women will then act as " multipliers " of the information. They will probably have sisters, cousins or other friends and relations in the country and the information will slowly get through. You need to be very focussed on what you can do and not get discouraged by what you can't. Best of luck,
