OK, my husband is trying to book our first trip to visit " The Mouse " in

Orlando with both boys for the first week in May. Any suggestions on hotels

on the property that have a kitchenette (small fridge and microwave) and

possibly a suite set-up (2 rooms)?

The price ranges would also be helpful. Actually, any ideas would be helpful!!

Thanks!!

All the properties owned by Disney with the set up you are looking for are very expensive (Maybe 300+ a night) Check out the Doubletree Hotel at Downtown Disney (sometimes called Disney Village.) We stayed there Xmas 97-98 and were pleased with the hotel. It had a full kitchen in miniature, two rooms, three TVs. Also, very close to the Disney gates by Epcot are the Holiday Inn Family Suites. They are advertised as being very kid friendly (some rooms have bunk beds) but I don't know what they are like inside. Both hotels can be found on internet and I would guess they both cost less than $200 a night.

Actually there are a few options on site for you to stay. The Old Key

West Resort is a Vacation Club Property but it does sell rooms to the

public. It is on the property and a two bedroom off season runs less

than $250.00 per night. They all have huge beautiful kitchens and

loads of hiden sleeping space plus they are all set in the Key West

theme.

Less pricey on site is Fort Wilderness where you can rent a log cabin

home complete with kitchen for less then $150.00 per night. We did

this over Thanksgiving and even though we own property at Old Key West

we really enjoyed the campgrounds with all the extra things to do like

horseback riding and a cookout.

If you are really looking to save money there are suites hotels by the

airport for under $60 a night. You wind up with a 20+ minute ride

everyday but you can really save. I sometimes stay there on my fly-in

day if I am arriving late. I feel like I am beating Eisner out of a

few bucks which I wind up spending later on turkey legs!

I also give valet parking tips for the park at a seminar that I will

be running at Hedi's House. The seminar is called Beating The Mouse

and is free to all Mosaic Moms! (NO DADS BECAUSE WE ARE ALL PAINS)

Best and Happy New Year

I would like to revise the location of this special meeting to any place with a bar on Route 17 north of Route 4. We will keep you posted. I just saw your post and wanted to let you know that the restaurants in

Disney's hotel's are very accomodating to the g/f/c/f diet! They are used

to it from Celiac patrons.

If you want to have breafast at Mickey's (it's in one of the Disney Hotels)

and there is another restaurant with characters in the Polynesian Hotel -

they have the c/f/c/f waffles and pancakes and will make anything you would

like if you call ahead of time.

It was absolutley wonderful - we had no problem in Disney!
