Guest guest
Thanks for your replies and . At our pedi appt. today, a different doctor in the practice saw Ian and said that the plagio looked severe this time (so much for the " it should mostly correct itself by 6 mos. " theory we were given at the 4 mo. appt). Ugghh! I am so frustrated right now! This new doc to our practice seemed totally unknowledgeable about plagio and I was telling her things that she seemed unaware of. I am considering switching practices. She wouldn't write a Rx for the helmet, because she wanted us to see a pedi neurosurgeon for that, so I have been playing phone tag all day trying to make an appt. with him ASAP. I am happy to know that the doctor she referred me to is actually the doctor in our area that I pulled from the Plagio.org website yesterday. Hopefully we can get in very soon, so we don't delay this any longer than we already have. I feel so terrible that we didn't do anything about this months ago. Ian got a good report otherwise. He is starting to catch up to other 6 mo olds in weight and height. His head circumference is 17in, which is in the 25th percentile. His height (26in) and weight (16lbs) are also in the 25th percentile. I am happy he is catching up, but part of me wishes he was still a bit smaller for the banding and correction. I'll let you know what happens in the coming week - keeping my fingers crossed that he'll be in a band by month's end! Thanks for your help and suppport.
