Guest guest
Hi guys, I got a phone message today from my new rehab. doc who I had seen last week for continued pain in my neck. She asked that I have her paged. This is a new pain that I didn't have prior to the fusion. It also radiates down to what I now know understand to be my left trapezius. She asked me to call her about my new next xrays which she had looked at in front of me in the office and said that they looked ok to her,,, no instability or anything. She evidentally had received the radioligist's written report. That doctor had been concerned that there was an incomplete fusion. I wasn't too too concerned when she left the message but , well, maybe a teensy bit. WHen she told me what the doc had said, I still wasn't terribly concerned... just had fleeting images of that horrible ASPEN collar with wings on it flying across the window of my mind!! THis doctor went ahead with my permission and called Dr. Heffez in Chicago(this was all after her office had closed and his , being an hour later, was within minutes of closing for the weekend). He had not received the copy that I had sent nor a report but felt like it was probably fine , that at just 6 months, it was to be expected unless there wsa any instabilty. He said he would check into whether the films had arrived and she was going to hav a new set sent. I'm really not worried but will be glad when they tell me for sure not to worry..ya know? I was impressed that my doc went to the trouble to call me and to call him. Maybe this one is a keepeer. She is the one who got me the home estim unit. I will try to put off the skydiving trip till next weekend til I've heard something back!! Everyone have a great weekend. We're going to a part for the sorority parents at JMU tomorrow. It should be fun. I'll tell Mike not to get rearended too!!
