He usually holds his shoulder in place when he bends over so it won't come out. He has learned to get it back in most of the time himself. He hangs his arm over the back of a chair and drops a large weight into his hand which works well. If he is around others we know how to do it. He can't run to the emergency room that often. I am so sorry to hear you are going through this. I know how painful this is from trying to help my brother. He is much better at managing it now, but initially it was very difficult.
