Guest guest
HI all, Went to the doctor's today for my 6 week checkup. Everything is going good! I weighed in at 319 pounds. That's 55 pounds lost in 6 weeks. I feel good. Even started back to work today and did just fine (it is just a desk job in front of a computer!). I'm eating fine. No nausea. I do find I do better if I don't wait too long between meals. BM's are soft and fairly frequent. Only had diarrhea a couple of times and Immodium took care of that. Delphine suggested using Metamucil for bulk. I find chicken doesn't digest real well. However, pork chops are no problem. My meatloaf was way too greasy and had me running to the bathroom. Some vegetables still giving me gas, but at least it's going on through rather than sitting in my intestines getting all bloated. Overall it looks like if I keep it fairly lowfat, I do all right. I found I like Protein Revolution bars and I'm trying some Designer Protein mix for breakfast now. KathleenF Open Duodenal Switch Surgery date: 01/02/01 Drs. Guest guest
Congrats Kathy! I'm just 3 days behind you and am thrilled to see your loss. I also get nauseated if I go over 3 hours without food.. except when sleeping. So good to hear your progress. in Seattle DS 1/5/01 295# BMI 47.6 2/5/01 265# BMI 42.8 Dr Welker - OHSU ----- Original Message ----- > HI all, > Went to the doctor's today for my 6 week checkup.
