Guest guest
I live in Connecticut. I have BC/BS. The BAHA cost me $3,100 up front. I then applied for coverage. I was initially denied, then approved on appeal. The hospital is supposed to reimburse me the money. Once all this happens(the hospital is delaying paying me), then I can get my son a 2nd BAHA without having to pay anything.

However, this only covers the cost of the BAHA aid itself. There is also the cost of the titanium abutment pieces, and the cost of the surgery itself (Dr's time, operating room, equipment etc). I don't know how much this is (costs here in Canada are kindof hidden, as it is all covered).
