Guest guest
Yes, I picked up on that too, but the article didn't explore any other reason for the dealy, so I have a hard time believing it could be just the plagio - especially corrected plagio. Often times children with plagio have tort or other motor and/or sensory issues that might have contributed to the delay. Personally my little guy seems pretty bright. He's already talking up a storm at 18 months (300+ words). I did find a site (when researching something on left- handedness) that said language devlopment is controlled by the left side of the brain. Since my son had his flat spot on the right, I'm wondering if the bigger left side had anything to do with it?? I don't know what is controlled by the right side to see if he might be delayed in those areas. His motor skills are certainly delayed, but I think that's the tort.
