Hi Bug,

I did a google search using *inter* cranial as in the post title, instead of

using *intra* cranial.

Thanks for bringing the hypo/hyper difference to my attention, I knew it but it

didn't register!! Mito brain

Intercranial hypotension

Hi Ann-Marie. The key word here is hypotension. " Hypo " refers to

inadequate or insufficient as seen in dehydration. Hypertension

relates to high blood pressure.

Hi, Bug-

I am not a doctor (I only play one on TV. Sorry, but I could not resist

that..Haha), but I believe that a person can have intracranial

hypertension, too. In this case, the cerebrospinal fluid would be

overloaded. This often happens after skull fractures, and a new device

can be inserted to monitor the fluid levels in the brain. Some young

neurosurgeon has invented this device, and it has saved many lives, and

many from brain damage.

I think I remember that the late artist Andy Warhol died because his

private duty nurse just kept pumping IVs into him and did not keep track

of his output. Same principle.

Your internet handle always makes me smile. You are one learned insect!

Take care.
