Guest guest
Today is my first day as a member of this group after a quick look through the posts, it is so sad to hear that there are others that are going through the same Hysterectomy song and dance that I have heard for the past 5 years. My way of dealing with my fibroids was to ingnore them and hope that they went away. Well they didn't and they are now bigger and more numerous and I am having a difficult time finding the right doctor. I live in St. Louis and I had thought that I had found a doctor able to do a myo but after a recent follow-up appointment that didn't go very well(she went on about how my uterus was still too large after 4 months on Lupron and that I still needed a hysterectomy and that she would do a myo but she didn't think that the outcome of the surgery would allow me to handle a pregnancy). I had some doubts about this doctor at my first appointment and I had some questions to ask her to try and better determine her experience with Myos, it turns out that I didn't even need to ask them. I am back to square one with my search for a skilled doctor that can remove my 5 fibroids (the largest 10cm (pre-Lupron size). I have had some initial contact with Dr. Lyon in Atlanta that sounds hopeful. So, it's on to a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc opinion until I find the right doctor.
