Dear Kathy H.-

You mentioned in your latest post that you are seeing a nutritionist. Can you

tell me who the nutritionist is, their location and phone number? We are also

GFCF but I am very concerned about my son's picky eating habits!

Thanks so much!

Hi JoAnne. We are heading towards doing GFCF plus

Feingold. When I did an elimination diet with my son

(age 5), he seemed to react to a number of

foods including the ones high in Salicylates and

phenols. We are trying to eliminate almost all colors

from his diet (not easy around Halloween!). I

borrowed a Feingold cookbook from the library and

their recommendations seemed to correspond with his

sensitivities. I keep feeling guilty about

eliminating so much, but is a picky eater; he

doesn't care! We are seeing a nutritionist. She also

recommended avoiding some of the foods listed as bad

on the ketogenic diet, saying that ASD kids and kids

with seizures seem to have a lot in common

biochemically. I need to get a Feingold book!
