Jeanette ~ I have both of my kidneys and I had problems with Atkins when I tried it years ago ~ to me, it was as if all that 'fat' got to me !!! A friend of mine was on it and lost a bunch, but as soon as she got off she gained it back and then some !!!! So did her sons !!!

I have a stepson living in !!!! He's been there 5 years ~ working in Point Comfort ~ now trying to get a job back here ~ 'home' !!!!! He really likes it there though !!! We've been there a couple of times ~ nice place !!!! We enjoyed going to Goliad (for the historical things !!!!). Hugs, Randie

Re: I Hop's new menu

The IHOP here in had a "carb friendly" menu for a while. Haven't seen it in a couple of weeks (we eat there at least once a week) so don't know if they still offer it or not. But one of the meals on it had "4 eggs and 6 slices of bacon." No way I could eat that much at one meal and wouldn't even want to try. Guess if someone is counting carbs, though, all that would be okay?!? Years ago I tried the "Dr. Atkins" diet but got really sick. When my doctor found out he jumped all over me. I only have one kidney and being on all that protein had "overloaded" it and made me feel terrible. Won't do that, again!!! Just trying to eat "sensibly" and watch my portions. Now I need to work on getting some exercise.
