SO THERE!! !! And you can believe that you had better listen to your Mom!! She is absolutely right about "doing your best" - - - that's all any of us can do.

It does sound like you might be sabotaging yourself on your 7 days off - - - I know it must be really hard to establish a routine when it changes every 7 days!! Weekends were always my downfall when I was working full time - but that was just two days - and you are having 7 day weekends, so I can imagine how hard it is!! When I quit work and knew I was going to be at home full time, I told myself that I couldn't possibly keep on with that "weekend mentality" - - so that's when I really buckled down, got rid of everything I wasn't supposed to eat - and lost the rest of the weight I needed to lose to reach goal.

I have always been the kind that needed a diet that told me exactly what I could eat, so maybe that would work for you. Get out the 28 day exchange plan that is in "The Choice is Mine - or The Choice is Yours" - whatever you have, and try following some of their daily menus. You said you didn't mind eating basically the same thing every day (neither do I), so find a couple of days you like and use them over and over!! I use the South Beach plan, but I think whatever you choose will work for you if you stick to it faithfully!!!

Thanks Clara and I always try to listen to my mom. I do try! Do I sabotage

myself on my 7 off? I think so. I am pretty disciplined on my 7 on. I eat the

same things every day and drink enough water and I might not get in all the

exercise I could because of my long shifts but I don't do bad. On my 7 off I

know I don't drink enough water, I eat out more even if I am eating healthier I

guess my body isn't used to it, and I have been using the excuse " I don't feel

well " or " I'm too busy or tired " to exercise. It's VERY hard having this

schedule. I don't like it anymore. Maybe some would enjoy 7 on 7 off but I

don't. I am planning on posting my resume on Monster.com and finding another job

closer to my home. I would even take a pay cut to have a normal 9 - 5 or M - F

job. I HATE MORNINGS but I'll do it if I have too! LOL! I feel good having

walked the last two nights and I plan on keeping it up all week AND on my 7 off!

! ! ! That's a promise. I don't mind eating the same thing every day at all! I

have a cheat night and that's Thurdsay. I save all my cravings and treats for

that day. It might not work for some but a cheat day works for me!

:)

P.S. I ran out of my Asmanex inhaler yesterday and I am not going to refill it

until after I see the doctor on Monday. It's a 25.00 copay and her office is

35.00. I will wait and see if she prescribes something else. I only took the

Albueterol (sp) once yesterday. I am still taking the Protonix though. I'm

telling you this because today, so far, my throat is fine and my breathing is

fine! ! ! COULD IT BE that the inhalers were making me worse???????? Who knows!

I AM SO SO DEFECTIVE! ! ! Please find the receipt and return me! I got a bill

from Park Plaza Hospital for my 75.00 ER copay from way back in December when he

gave me a shot of Ativan and put me on Xanax for my breathing instead of doing a

chest xray, pulmonary function test, or etc. I won't be paying it because I

didn't like the level of care I received, I was REALLY missdiagnosed, and it

didn't help at all. They will be receiving a note from . As you all

know....I am VERY good at complaining! THANK YOU GRANDMA FOR THAT TRAIT! :)
