Guest guest
Hi Donna, I've apparently missed a message from you regarding pain which in this message seems to be escalating. You described every pain point I have which I can't always ease. If I were you, I would start with Ibuprofin of some type (Motrin or Aleve) and take them for a few days regularly even if the pain stops. See if you notice some relief. There are other pain relievers that could work but pain relievers can cause constipation so it's an avenue you'll need to experiment with. If you need to take a little more than the regular dose - it may be worth trying as it may be that you need something a little stronger. My endocrinologist prescribed Vioxx because Dr Cohen recommended it. Now, there is news that Vioxx seems to increase the incidence of heart attacks in it's users so I'm glad I've never taken one a day as prescribed. I only take one when it's an especially bad day. Has it been especially damp where you are or have you been in air conditioning or around a lot of fans? This really gives me some serious pain issues so I tend to try to lessen my time in those conditions and living in New Mexico with heat intolerance isn't friendly to that idea. I can't even tolerate the air conditioner on in the car or the window open and blowing on me either. It seems that those of is dealing with Mito are living with pain somewhere and it's a difficult issue. Pain is not pleasant to endure day after day. I hope you find some relief fast. Alice Thank you for your email that is what I thought also that it was a crash. The pain was so bad last night I could barely walk I was crying if it keeps up I will be calling my PCP for a referral to see a rheumatologist. The pain is in the joints in my wrist, fingers, knees, ankles are really bad and my lower back. I still have the muscle pain and stiffness and my constipation is getting worse which I have had my whole entire life. I feel like this can't be happening as I have to take care of my kids receives IV hyration once a month. Thanks again and take care.
