Guest guest
I hate posting what I eat because I just don't want it to be critiqued all the time. No offense to anyone but I know I don't eat " like the food pyramid says " but this is how I eat and it works for me weight wise (when I exercise enough) and budget wise. I eat pretty much the same thing every day when I'm on my 7 on. I eat this throughout the day with the bulk being at dinner time. I bring with me 2 breakfast bars that are low fat or low calorie or low carb. I bring two low fat ham, ff cheese, low fat mayo, on white bread sandwiches. I don't care for wheat bread. Sorry. Sometimes I bring a pickle. I have one small bag of chips. It's the little bags that run 30 cents each. I have a low fat yogurt cup. I have a low fat pudding cup. I have one pear and one apple. I have 6 bottles of water that are 16.9 oz. each. I drink 4 of them plain and the other two I add a Crystal Light to it. I drink one 20 oz. Diet Dr Pepper a day. Oh....I also have a cup of soup from s. This week I have vegetable one day and chicken noodle the next all week long. They were on sale. And that's my daily intake while I'm on my 7 on. I have to do my best this week and every week to exercise each day and stick to this menu and not add anything like late night snacks. So...that's what I'm eating this week. I wish I was this disciplined on my 7 off.
Guest guest
~ Did you realize there is a whole grain WHITE bread out now ?????? There is one made by Sara Lee ~ just thought you might want to know !!!!!! Course, you're the one who didn't know about the apple 'thingy' and the orange ' thingy' either !!!!!!!!! We fairly recently had a "World Market" (believe that's the name of it) open up here ~ LOVE that store !!!!! Had gone to one in Austin years ago ~ there was one there too !!!!!! Besides GOBS of other things !!!!! AND now , we ALL know you can get back within your KOPS leeway ~ look how you strived and worked so hard to get there !!!!! You CAN do it !!!!! You have had some major setbacks ~ but you WILL do it !!!!!!! THINK POSITIVE !!!!!!!!! HAVE FAITH !!!!!!!!!! Think of Jordan !!!!!!! LOL !!!!!!!!!! Guest guest
I had heard that Randie but I never think to look for it at the store. I was in a hurry on Wednesday when I bought bread and stuff so I just grabbed and went. I saw people on The Biggest Loser eating a turkey burger with all the fixings but instead of a bun they had a thick piece of lettuce! Hmmmmm. I might just try that the next time I make turkey burgers! I might try that with my sandwiches as well. I know I eat too much bread but I do enjoy it. I will look for whole grain white bread and give it a try. And, no, I haven't even looked for the apple and orange thingy. I never even think to look for it! LOL! I'll put it on my list of things to do on my next 7 off. I have to start writing lists or I will forget things in my old age! LOL! Stupid question....how do you know when a pear is good and ready to eat? I had a pear once that was so good. Tonights pear was okay but not as good as the last one. I was dissapointed but I ate it. Think of Jordan? LOL! She'd survive without me. Sometimes I think she's more attached to my roommate than she is to me anymore. But I do notice that she will attach herself to the " new " person in the room and ignore anyone else! LOL! Guest guest
As one mother to another ... Good for you, MOM!!! I think sometimes our kids forget just how concerned we are about them after they get "grown up." I asked my mother one time "When do you quit worrying about your kids?" I understand her answer a lot better now than I did then (they were teenagers, then). The answer is NEVER. And, you're right ... we all need and his encouragement and enthusiasm!!! But, , we all believe you CAN get back in leeway ... now get busy!!! ((Hugs)) JeanetteKathy wrote: BUT YOUR MOTHER would not survive without you!!!! Guest guest
Yes mother! LOL! I am not going anywhere. And, yes, I'm doing the best I can with what I have. I have went on a walk the last two nights and I plan on going again tonight and going for longer. It does feel good to walk. And I have also realized that there are more things to worry about than my KOPS status. I am going to try and extend my medical excuse while still working hard to reach my leeway again by March 30. If not then I'll just lose my status. Like I told Vernie in an e-mail.....while it's sad to lose the last 7 months the best thing about losing something sometimes is finding it again! And I will find it again if I lose it. I have seemed to struggle since the day I reached my KOPS status. Maybe I need to lose it, regroup, get back to goal, go under, and stay there! ! ! Easier said than done that's for sure! I weight 215 right now. I used to weight 316. That's 101 lbs. GONE. That's what is important to me NOT my KOPS status! Guest guest
I would never be critical of another's food plan. We all have to do what works for us individually. Like me and carbs. I just don't lose when I have all the grains and fruits. I do wonder about your sodium intake though. Those soups are loaded with it. The other day I had a soup at hand and a V8 and then realized I had just ingested my total sodium allotment for the day. Yikes. I also have trouble with Crystal Light. I do not lose if I drink it. And ditch the white bread!!! have you tried the Honey wheat its almost white and the 7 grain breads are good. How about one of each sandwich until you learn to love that wheat? That's all I can think of but it may be the 7 off that is messing you up and not your lunches. Guest guest
I am saying this in a joking manner but Grammy Pat you said, " I would never be critical of another's food plan " and then you went on to tell me about my sodium intake, my Crystal Light, and my bread! LOL! I thought it was VERY funny! LOL! I have grown to notice, not on this loop, that no matter what I say I eat or drink someone will find something wrong with it! I have come to realize that everything is bad for us and everything is going to kill us! LOL! I have thought about the sodium in the soups but I have added two extra 16.9 oz. bottles of water to help with the sodium. If that doesn't work...oh well. I love my soups and they are small servings. I will check for low sodium soups next time though I promise. And I will try the suggestions on the bread that I am receiving. While I enjoy the Crystal Lights I am getting burned out on them. My friend bought Lipton Green Tea packets and those I enjoy so I think I'l buy more of those next time instead. Like I said I do four 16.9 oz. bottles of water a day and two 16.9 oz. bottles of water with Cyrstal Light packets. BUT I will add two more bottles at night to " counter act " any sodium! And, yes, I agree the 7 off does mess me up but it's also the lack of exercise. That is changing though! Re: My Menu I would never be critical of another's food plan.
