You know, I wonder if forceps were used when I was born...cause I don't remember NOT having tinnitus, it didn't even occur to me I probably shouldn't be hearing those millions of crickets when there weren't any, until the Today Show played the sound and gave it a name. Barb, all my sympathy. I hate it when the world isn't just. It always seems like it should be enough cause in and of itself, apart from the usual considerable human loss.
