Guest guest Posted November 8, 2006 Report Share Posted November 8, 2006 The turkey jerky takes some getting used to. It's Teriyaki flavor so know that straight off. I like it more than Costco's beef jerky which is original or some other flavor which is code for peppered to hell and back GAG! The turkey is uaually a bit softer and goes great with cheese sticks (which Costco also has but not Light ones although I think they're only 80 calories a serving they have 6g of fat each). Anyway the Turkey Jerky is, I think, 10.99 for two 9.5oz bags. That's insanely cheap when you consider Meijer sells bags of jerky for half that price but they're also half the size and ONLY ONE bag. Walmart does have good deals on jerky and I've had a co-worker report Walmart has great deals on Smartpop Kettle Popcorn. I need to make a run to Walmart this weekend I think. You should be glad you have a Meijer and Walmart up there to compete at least. Just let me know what day (weekend would be ideal) that you'd like to meet. What I can do in the mean time is go to Costco and get a list of " good stuff " created. It totally sucks that they don't have food prices online. Yes I understand the problems with doing that but it doesn't mean I have to like it. Once you have a list and know what you want just give me a couple days advanced notice and I can go buy stuff for ya and meet you. I'd need a check or cash the day I give you the stuff as I'd be paying cash for it at Costco. If you're willing to spot me $8 for the extra in gas I'll drive the junk straight to your door. I do know they have Kirkland Vanilla flavored Soymilk for less than $11 for 12 quarts. That's less than a buck a quart and the stuff lasts until Sept 2007. If we're talking something like this and the idea of 12 quarts sounds absolutely insane quantity wise just mention that as I might be able to split it halvsies with you or even get some friends at work to split it up three or four ways. I'll try to remember to take my camera with me tomorrow and hit Costco again.
