Guest guest
i would just insert that whatever decision that an individual makes - a UAE, a myomectomy, a hysterectomy, or a " wait and see " decision - ALL are measured risks. there are negative consequences and positive consequences, whatever your decision. i do encourage everyone to do their research then make the best decision they can, given their individual situations. there are no guarantees in life or in surgery! i still dont' know the ultimate outcome from my hysterectomy, I just know that " so far so good " and i feel the best i have in years. i am thankful for these boards and for women sharing their experiences and also grateful to have made peace with my own decision. remember, whatever you go looking for (negative or positive consequences and/or experiences), they are ALL out there and it can make the decision making even harder. that's why i really advocate women doing their homework, talking to their doctor(s), then listening to (and trusting) their OWN intuition about what is right for them! let's all keep getting the word out about all the options that exist (and keep funding the newer options that come along for our daughters!) angela > Hi , > I respect your decision to have a hysterectomy even though i would not choose that for myself. > For another viewpoint about all the negative consequences of hysterectomy, type into your search engine : > 'Far Too Many Hysterectomies Still Being Performed', which is a 23 page report by NBC's Bazell. > Good luck, >
