, You are probably using a Hanger Helmet. At least based on searching for locations near us I found a Hanger place in St Louis which I am presuming is the one you are using. The most important thing is to trust the orthotist they are the ones who are responsible for the shape that the helmet will provide. The hanger place here does scans not casting so that should be easier for you. We decided to make the drive to Dallas rather then use our local Hanger clinic but that was simply because I did not trust the clinic or orthotist - and every clinic is different. (We had already spent several months trying to self-correct with positioning, sleeping on a sheepskin, etc., but he has reflux and it limits tummy time, etc.)I asked if he thought there would be future issues with safety of helmets used as sporting equipment, etc. (we like to cycle as a family, etc.) he said he had no idea (not really confidence inspiring). Anyway, my husband and I want it corrected just in case, and especially since you can't decide to do something later. Should I be more concerned with the details here? Is there a huge difference in the product or is it really a matter of the casting facility and their expertise at the fitting which is kind what I was assuming?
