Addition to My Newbie Post...

Hello, I was looking at some recent posts and I thought of another

question. I have Unicare PPO in Illinois and I was wondering if

anyone else had luck with getting a helmet insured by them. I

previously stated that they have an explicit clause against insuring

helmets, bands, etc. (or at least that's what they said) in their

insuranc policy. Is it still possible to contest this? Also how do I

get a hold of the policy to see this? This is my secondary insurance

but primary insurance for my son so I am not very familiar with them.

Also, is it even possible to contest when my son is so borderline? I

have a letter of medical necessity, but I don't know that I could get

a lot of opinions in support of him needing a helmet. Sorry for the

addendum. Thanks again!
