Guest guest
I do lay down and nap with her sumtimes.......but usually i am thinking about all the things i could be doing while she is asleep and when i get up she wakes up.........and let me tell you i am so quiet when i get up and sneak out but its like she just knows im not there anymore she is asleep on me right now as i type......she is snoozing in the baby bjorn and will sleep there all day as long as i dont put her down .. I guess this is just a side effect of co-sleeping and i will probably just have to get used to it... Nichole 9-26-00 Re: a few things..... *2* WILL NOT nap during the day unless i am walking around holding her.......as soon as i lay her down there is about 5 minutes before she wakes up.......she sleeps like a rock and will sleep for hours if i hold her. sometimes if i lay down with her she will sleep but the minute i get up....she is awake.. there is no problem at nite when we are both in bed....once she goes to bed she will sleep like 12 hours sumtimes.....but forget about a daytime nap! she gets so cranky so i have to hold her in order for her to get her nap out ....i do not mind holding her but my back is about to break from these hours and hours of standing and holding her.....anyone else having this problem ? what can i do? Our little guy was like that, I learned to lay down and nap with him or at least rest in the rocking chair. Dh takes advantage on the weekend and takes naps with the baby on the couch :-) *3* I dont know how y'all get showers .....you may wait till dh is home or may have older children that help with baby.....but over here its just me and all day and evening I would put her in her chair outside the tub or lay her on a blanket on the floor and let her watch the ceiling fan (i have a HUGE carpeted bathroom dont want anyone thinking my baby is in a tiny space on cold floor with her face on the toilet or sumthing..lol) anyway, i would sing and talk to her so she would know i was there and it would buy me just enough time for a quick shower......well, I went out and got a clear/see thru shower curtain liner and now she can see me and she LOVES it! it's all i have up right now I took down the actuall lacy curtain thing that goes on the outside ....she would let me stay in there ALL DAY if i wanted too.....just thought i would share incase any of you are having the "quickie shower before baby gets mad syndrome" It's the best mommy problem solving i have done yet !!! That is a great idea! Good for you for figuring it out :-) Michele, mom of Arran 12-27-93, Keely 12-5-97 & Rowan 3-15-00!
