Guest guest
Hi Tequisha, I have to agree with Hazel. Our STARband ortho was just about to 'graduate' my son (at 7mm asymmetry and severe facial asymmetry) and I nearly cried. His helmet never fit very well, so I don't think that helped matters either. When I asked about the possibility of another helmet, she treated me like I was expecting too much and she said she didn't think the doctor would write another Rx. Thank god I didn't listen to her. We had no trouble with a new Rx and went for a DOCband consult. They diagnosed him with torticollis (that my pedi had been blowing off since it wasn't severe) and facial scoliosis. His CI was still 89% at that time too. He's been wearing the DOCband(s) for 6 months and he's looking much better. He's not 'perfect' and probably never will be, but I'm so glad we did it.
