Guest guest
When my daughuter had the DOC band- cranial said "that flat spot wont go away- some p/p just have it" and then a couple weeks later said she is ready to graduate; then that orthotist left cranial, and i got a new orthotist who said "she looks great" and i asked her if that flat spotwould correct and she implied she didnt think so. i said to her at our last apt "will that flat spot ever correct itself " she laughed and said "try a second band" and then i said to her again "but i thought u said it wouldnt help" shook her head and said, she looks great. so im doubting it will; but i dont know. i went to ped. neurosurgeons/neurologists and one said to try a second band- but u wont see drastic improvement and if it was her daughter she wouldnt do it- if it was her son she would; and the other said she "looks great and we got gr8 results" her head basically used to have a huge bulge on one side and totally flat on the other. her forward used to be flat with slight facial assymetry (i never even noticed the assymtery- thats how slight). Now, her head is flat in the back with a little curve in the back and much more symmetric- but still a little assymetric. Is it worth considering a 2nd band? Should I go back to Cranial for another optinion or another band making place? Will her head ever be totally rounded out? Thanks. Want to be your own boss? Learn how on Small Business.
