I keep thinking of new questions. My baby's head gets so sweaty with

her helmet, so we are giving her a bath almost every night. Is that

what others have done? Isn't bathing a baby everyday going to be

drying to her skin, or is it more important to keep her head washed? I

want to do what is best for her. Any suggestions? Stock up on lotion?

We've been bathing our little girl's head each night or even more

often if she needs it. We've just used a " hydrating " baby shampoo and

cool-ish water and it doesn't seem to be drying her scalp. Then we do

a real bath about every third day (our normal schedule).

Good luck!

I used to wash my daughter's hair every morning first thing when she

got up. I held her in the football hold over the bathroom sink. Then

I cleaned the band with alcohol and left it off while it dried for the

hour they recommended. The days she had baths I washed her hair in the

tub like normal.

Hi ,

we bathe my daughter most nights and she hasn't dried out yet :-) We

always shampoo her head, but don't always use soap on her body. before

the helmet we only bathed her twice a week, but that was also before

it was really hot here (san francisco bay area)

sometimes if we want to speed things up my husband holds her over the

kitchen sink and I use the hose to wash her hair. this is easy since

she loves water of any kind. I don't know if all kids would like this.

On days we don't bathe Jerry, I lay him down on the kitchen counter while

supporting his

head with my hand over the sink, and I shampoo his head. I've just been using

's

baby wash and haven't noticed any problems. He doesn't particularly like this

procedure

but it works to keep his head clean!

We give our son a bath every night during the 1 hour that he has his band

off. It helps prevent the stinky smell that develops. We haven't had any

problems with dry skin.

I give my twins a bath everyday, their skin seems to be handling it

well, I just keep the bath very short and the slather on the lotion

while they are still partly wet.

We wash Chase every night and we've been doing that long before he got his STARband. He had very bad atopic eczema and contact dermatitis (so bad we were at a dermatolgist at 5 months). She's the one who recommended daily bathing. His dry skin has not gotten worse - in fact, just the opposite. We use Aquaphor instead of lotion. It's pretty greasy, but it's great for his skin. Hope this helps!lillybeans820 <lillybeans820@...> wrote: I keep thinking of new questions. My baby's head gets so sweaty with her helmet, so we are

Sneak preview the all-new .com. It's not radically different. Just radically better.

We bathed Nolan every night but it was a quick bath with more focus on

the shampoo......loreal for kids made the stinky sock smell go away!

I usually clean the helmet and bath her during that hour break. I works great.
