I also wound up in the hospital for a week to try and get rid of a really bad migraine. For preventative meds I am on Effexor (an antidepressant), propranol, and some other drugs for the tics/epileptic activity I have at night which includes clonazepam, tegretol. I also take the CoQ10 and Alpha Lipoic Acid. If you find yourself having a compound migraine get to the hospital ASAP.
