, Thanks for reminding me about aloe. Didn't know about its

lowering effect on high lactic acid level. Thanks for sharing! I

used to take it in a liquid form (high tech extraction and $$$) and

need to see about trying it again. Have plants around because I

use it for burns. Maybe I'll try it that way first.....considering it's

FREE!

So sorry to hear of your daughter's experience with abx still

causing problems. Such a shame. I just had one thought. Yudo

Erasmus makes an probiotic (acidophilus, etc.,) that he

recommends you take by opening the capsule and then

" chewing " the contents, making the beneficial probiotics

available to the mouth (especially for thrush), esophagus and

stomach. I believe most probiotics are just designed to

re-introduce benefical flora to the intestines. Wondering if one

could do the same thing with other brands of probiotic capsules,

but don't know.

<< Goldenseal btw works as a natural antibiotic. Since you had

problems with

it, it is probably because you have a problem with antibiotics

period.>>

I'm not sure this was my problems, because garlic and

grapefruit seed extract (ParaMicrocidin) are also natural

antiboitics and I don't have probems with them . I'm guessing

that the problem I have with Golden Seal might be related to its

potential to lower blood pressure. At the time I tried it ,mine was

already " in the cellar " .

It's so wonderful that nature has given us a number of natural

antibiotics in her cupboard and there are so many potential

alternatives to abx that people can try.

Thanks and Best Wishes,

Anita

I did not know about aloe and the loweing of lactic acid. Mine is always

high. (I have MELAS). Used to have aloe vera plants but when we moved did

not get more. Have the gel but will go to the natural foods store and see

about getting some liquid or capsules.
