Guest guest
I just spoke with 's mom (what a wonderful person) and they asked me to update you on her admission thus far. Her BP has been very low and they have diagnosed her with POTS also (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). They are doing further autonomic testing tomorrow. She was seen by a hematologist because she is also anemic. They have scheduled her for a bone marrow biopsy tomorrow at 9am. They are going to use anesthetic which concerns her because she has had past problems when put under. She was also seen by a gastro doc and they are scheduling her for a study of some kind on Monday. They know her colon isn't functioning properly, but want to see how far up the problem goes. Dr. Cohen has yet to be around to see her. I guess he had his schedule confused and thought he was on the floor rotation but is not. Dr. Friedman (another CCF neuro doc) has seen her but does not remember her or her case. She is tired and has not been able to get a private room which is making the stress of the admission worse. They have been getting the run around about this. Very frustrating! She will be in at least through the weekend ,and probably through Tuesday. I will talk to her mom over the weekend and get further updates. I know would appreciate being added to any prayers. This is very overwhelming to be this far away from home and having to go through all of these tests. Thankfully she has her family with her. It is alot of info and alot of unsettling news. Hopefully she will get some answers and some direction from all of the results this time. I will update when I hear more! Dawn

Guest guest
If you talk to 's family again, please tell them to let her know that she's in my thoughts and prayers. I know this must be very difficult for her and her family but I'm glad they are all together. Thank you for letting us know.
