Guest guest Posted December 14, 2004 Report Share Posted December 14, 2004 Well I am ready for a hot flash now... WOW woke up to snow flying and 22 degrees and wind chill of 15... Why is it that I am on higher thyroid this year than ever before and the cold is bothering me WAY worse than ever? Guess with a higher body temp it feels colder. I have come to some new conclusions about the generics. At least the Time Caps Labs ones... I just went through my records I have kept on my cat. I noticed GREAT improvement when he went to 2.5 grains, then went for blood work and he was still too low, I took him to 3 grains, BUT same time I started giving him TCL generics. I thought it was the Pred shot the vet gave him that set him back as suddenly he was acting hypo again... Now he is up to 4 grains TCL WITH DHEA. And doing better again. I have to think the TCL generic is not as potent as Armour. I am calling his vet today to ask for a script of Armour for him.. 3 Grains. Wish me luck! *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat? Still didn;t feel quite right on the 4.5 grains a day of real Armour. But I am up to 7 grains a day with the TCL!!! Not sure if it would matter, but it was strange that I felt so terrible yesterday after taking it the other way for 2 days. I had to drink 2 cups of coffee to try and stay awake and keep warm at Noon. I never drink coffee after the morning hours. Now, I am sweating while drinking my coffee. I swallowed the Armour at 4 AM. My Afghan gets me up like clock work at 4 AM to go outside! So, I take the Armour and go back to bed until 6. Could it be possible that it makes a difference, or just a coincidence?? I know I need more, but convincing the DR. is going to be impossible! Now, to see if I have that burning sensation since I swallowed it this morning. It bypasses the stomach acids when you dissolve it in your mouth. most likely you are not on anywhere near an optimal dosage and won;t feel better or will have ups and downs till you are closer to optimal dosage. *Artistic Grooming * Hurricane, WV Fat cat?
