Guest guest
Thanks for your detailed answer. Work with the school district regarding my younger son's IEP has been really tough, so I'm not looking forward to dealing with them for my older son. I may need to have the audiologist meet with the school directly if they have no experience with CAPD. It is a small school district. Once again, thanks to you and others who responded on this. You are all a real help! Take care, RH > >>>>>> Hello, > >>>>>> I am new at this group. Guest guest
RH It does take expensive computer software and a sound proof both to do the CAPD testing. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Wed, 14 Jul 2004 21:05:28 -0000 > To: > Subject: ADA vs. IDEA was Re: Help > > Thanks for your detailed answer. Guest guest
RH I guess I wasn't very clear which is not unusual. Diagnosing the CAPD requires the software. Check to see if there is someone who is the 504 coordinator. I work for a county wide district that provides service to all the small districts in the area. I am assigned to one of the smallest and when I asked who the co-ordinator was, they looked at me as if I were nuts. I usually end up writing the 504s even though it is a general ed. function and not a special ed. function. You can write the plan before going into a meeting. If you'd like some help, just e-mail me privately. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Wed, 14 Jul 2004 20:19:44 -0000 > To: > Subject: ADA vs. IDEA was Re: Help > > Thanks, I guess I thought they must have someone as a 504 / ADA > coordinator.
