Guest guest
Hello Moms! I was starting a folder of " things to share " with the MosaicMoms but since my record of actually showing up for meetings is poor, I think I had better use this new vehicle. Are you aware of FECA, The Foundation for Educating Children with Autism? It's a Westchester (Mt. Kisco) based organization and I am on their mailing list by virtue of attending the secretin Purchase, NY seminar last winter. FECA and NAAR are co-sponsoring a two day conference, November 5 and 6, 1999 (a Friday and Saturday.) Friday's speakers are Barry Prizant, talking of CERTS, a social/spech program, Stanley Greenspan will talk for 3 hours via video conference and the afternoon is a workshop (either bridges to adulthood or video modeling to teach new skills.) Saturday is C. T. Gordon, MD talking about psychotropic drugs; Nowakowski, Ph.D., fixing an autistic brain, Emanuel DiCicco-Bloom, MD, talking about secretin, neural stem cells and brain repair; o Tuchman, MD, talking of affective medicines; Edie Gordon and Rose Kraft, parents talking of visual ABA; and the afternoon another workshop (parents facing adolescence or augmentative communication.) # to call is . I personally would like to attend Friday but am working on hubby's readiness, willingness and ability to take off (what else is new?)
