Looking Up

When you are flat on your back there is only one way to look and that is up.

I'm back, almost. Got home from hospital yesterday. Not feeling too great and

many, many messages. They will be read and answered. Sometime and in a timely

manner. I know I can't and won't say everything I want to or intend to but I

need you to know that in my opinion, and that of my family, you are, we are the

greatest bunch of people to ever form a group. I got mail, packages, flowers,

phone calls prayers, prayers and more prayers and it is just too overwhelming to

even try to tell you how it all makes me feel. But just saying feels good

doesn't even come close. Thank each and everyone of you until I can do it more

personally.

Never one to do things in a small way I had to go and have multiple surgeries,

again. I got the colostomy reversed, lost another 8 to 10 inches of bowel and

had my gall bladder removed. And it onlly took 7 hours of surgery to do that.

I'm not feeling so very good at this point but everything is as it should be and

with some rest and time I know all will be well. Don't know how long it will

take to retrain these bowels. Some folks say without the gall bladder it may

take longer but I can tell you this. For starters, they went deaf. I holler

no, wait! not yet and they just act like they can't hear a thing! Two trips to

the shower at midnight and about 8:30 am is not my idea of fun. May have just

added too much to the diet too quickly. Today has been much better so far.

Have received around 400 " pearls " so far. The shell shack crew has started to

assemble the " string " . I hope I don't let you donw. I'm not getting out there

like I had hoped but I still got two weeks. Miracles happen. Look at me. I

feel like a miracle.

Will be back as I can. But once again, thank all of you for all you do for each

other. There is nothing greater than LOVE.
