I recently have had this happen on both of my thumbs.... the skin cracked where it was really thick...and it HURT!!! I put triple antibiotic on both cracks for several days and they are healing. First the left thumb cracked and then the right one. The thick skin also came off after a few days. This is the first time this has ever happened to me that I can remember (CRS)..
