Thank you Jack and everyone else who gave us your well wishes and

prayers! We arrived home in one piece today despite all my preflight

fears and jitters.

Dr. J was a joy to see as always. Benny's right ear has gained 5dB

in several frequencies since July. The left ear didn't test quite as

well but is at 25dB. There is a good chance for that to improve. We

are thrilled with Benny's results. He is ready to take on the world.

As thrilled as we are with Benny's results we are ECSTATIC about

Caleb! His right ear continues with moderate to mild loss. The left

ear------let's hear it for 20dB in the mid frequencies with 25db

working out to 30 on the far top and bottom side! I was in the motel

van, a seat ahead of Caleb, whispering to my husband and Caleb

answered my question. I said , " You heard that! " Caleb just grinned

and giggled. Dr. J said he thought that he could improve the right

ear hearing since the 1st surgery mainly repaired someone else's

work. But we are happy with this - for now at least.

I often think about the road we've walked to repair our boys'

atresia. I see God's hand in leading us to this group so we could

find Dr. J. I am so thankful for His grace. I believe

wholeheartedly that it was His Grace that made the titanium implant

for the BAHA fall out. His plan was for us to cross paths with Dr. J

so we could be blessed by his gift. He got us there in spite of

ourselves.

Thanks to all in the group who have given us (me) your support.

Thanks everyone! Beth: hearing like never before is in some ways

an understatement. This is fun. Caleb is wild. Has anyone had a

child get overstimulated from sound? Benny is wild too but it could

be Caleb rubbing off on him. I hope my house holds up.
