Guest guest
Now that I think about it, Rowan did too. Each time he got a shot he had a deep sleep for 3-4 hours. I don't remember my other two........too far back and too early in the morning for the brain to function ;-) Michele, mom of Arran 12-27-93, Keely 12-5-97 & Rowan 3-15-00! Guest guest
I got really full last night and leaked through my pads at Blakes' Christmas program ) LOL! My kids have never had any bad side affects from shots, but last night was really cranky. He hardly ate and what he did eat would come back up and he felt like he was burning up! I took his temp but it was only 99.6. And when I touched his leg (they told me to massage the area) he screamed like I was killing him. I have never had this happen before. My Tylonol disapeared last night too and I had nothing to give him-poor thing! Guest guest
He woke up this morning with a 101.2 temp. He hasn't eaten like usual since he got his shots yesterday. So I called the dr. The nurse just told me to keep an eye on him and she would call back to check on him at 2pm. None of my kids ever got fevers from shots, so I am in uncharted territory here! Guest guest
I refused to let Katelyn have the MMR. I read about it causeing autism in children who ha protien sesitivity as a baby. She was very sesitive to prtiens when she was born, so I won't let her have it untill I am completely convinced that her digestive system is able to handle it. Guest guest
, Sorry to hear that. Both my kids reacted pretty thoroughly to vaccines. It is really scary. Guest guest
, I won't vaccinate again due to the reactions that my children had, the lack of compassion on the part of the medical staff when I would call and my research into vaccines. Both my children had fevers well up over 103 and everytime I would call the staff would say to just watch them and that it was a "normal" reaction. I find that there is a huge difference between normal and common. Hang in there and just trust your instincts. If you feel worried and no one is listening take him in. Don't let them tell you everything is fine if you feel it isn't. Just make sure that you trust yourself and not some outside source. Guest guest
Hi , There has been a problem with the MMR vaccinations because they contained mercury, which they is the reason why so children have developed autism or might have " predisposed " to it and the vaccinations made it worse. They have new MMR vaccinations that do not contain mercury that you could request. I'm sorry you had such a hard time with the shots. Elise had a terrible time with her Hepatis B shot, but had her 2 month check up this week as well. She got 4 shots on Monday. I gave her Tylenol ahead of time plus every 4 hours after the shots. I also demanded that I be able to nurse her immediately after the shots were administered it really helped.
