Guest guest
Hi Gang, Well I guess you all are probably getting tired of these updates by now, I promise I'll try to make this a brief one. Yesterday Dr.Eppley removed the stitches. He was very pleased with the way it looked, but the one area that had scabbed over and not healed the first time (resulting in a small part of the implant being exposed) still has him concerned. It still has a scab on it again and he is worried that once the scab is gone the implant may still be exposed. He did say all we could do was keep our eye on it and hope that it is healed up once the scab comes off. If it isn't healed that means another surgery to cover it with another graft ...so needless to say I'm hoping (and praying) that it will be healed up!!! But, like Dr.Eppley said ...we're 99% there so we sure are not going to let this tiny boo-boo stop us! He took more pictures and so I will have those on my webpage soon. It really does look rather nice and I am pleased with the results. Well, I hope I didn't bore you with this update ... just wanted to share it with my friends! P. Guest guest
Hey, , keep those updates coming! They are really interesting and it's a unique opportunity for us to follow along with you as you've been going through this process... Now that I am home again and on my faster computer with the cable connection, I have finally been able to see the latest photos -- wow! It must be so amazing for you! I certainly hope that the one area where there is a scab heals up quickly and uneventfully so that you won't need further surgery. Keep us posted as things progress! --Connie
Guest guest
Hello P. 99% there sounds like good progress to me. We'll pray and believe that it will heal. I'll bet looking " rather nice " is a modest statement so hurry with those pictures and the next update. You're not boring us --- what you have done is too wonderful and exciting. A.
