I saw your post about thyroid disease and thought you might be

interested in my experience. My thyroid tests were always on the

low end of normal. (this was before I knew anything about mito) I

finally found a doctor who treats people for thyroid hormone

resistence disease. He calls it 's Thyroid syndrome. You can

check out his site at http://wilsonsyndrome.com/. He treats people

with cytomel in a time release formula. (liothyronine) That is the

T-3 form of thyroxine. The form of the hormone that is actually

used in the cell. I cain't tell you how much it helped me. I had

three fabulous years. I finished my degree, and started teaching.

Then I had more problems with my pacemaker and lost ground, but I

would not be without my liothyronine. It makes a big difference in

the quality of my life. Last year I went down to UCSF and the

endocrine doctor there confirmed this diagnosis. He said " I don't

know why, but for some reason your cells are resistent and you need

this medicine. " I hope this helps

Joanne
