Guest guest
Hi Angie, I'm under the weather at the moment so this will be brief.. I, too, thought I had a problem- maybe holding stress in my face?- and got a custom mouthguard from my dentist. Initially, I believe it helped because I DID get secondary pain in the form of muscular tension after many nights like you described. But, ultimately, I realized it's something mito-related. My teeth/face pain often coincides with eye muscle pain which I'm starting to think has to do with lack of oxygen at night. In the daytime when I've " overdone it " , often it's my teeth and face that register the crushing fatigue first. Amy
Guest guest
Hi, Amy That is very interesting. I have teeth pain, and many fillings and caps. I have been mistrustful of the dentist, who says my xrays are fine, and I have no dental problems. I was just waiting for it to get so bad that it would show up on xray, but maybe it is the mito. I rather think it might be, because many of my teeth " ache " from time to time, but the pain comes and goes, and moves from tooth to tooth. My guess is a bad tooth would stay hurting. Interesting. I will look to see if there is a connection to how I feel generally, to a mito thing. Thank you for sharing Sunny > Hi Angie, > I'm under the weather at the moment so this will be brief.. > > I, too, thought I had a problem- maybe holding stress in my face?- > and got a custom mouthguard from my dentist. Guest guest
Hi Sunny, Now that you mention it, I experience " the tooth to tooth thing " too! And I could describe the feeling also as " aching " at times. It's great to be able to post like this and find others with the same weird mito symptoms, isn't?! Guest guest
Could this actually be jaw pain you are feeling in your teeth? That is a common area for pain and I am diagnosed with TMJ and use a mouth guard at night. I get lock jaw when I have any dental work done so it has to be done in stages. Guest guest
Clogged sinuses or infection can also cause tooth pain. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Wed, 7 Jul 2004 14:59:30 -0600 > To: > > Subject: Re: Angie-sore face muscles and teeth > > Could this actually be jaw pain you are feeling in your teeth? It has really helped me have confidence in my beliefs that things are going on in my BODY, not my mind, and it is good to know that we are not alone in our expreriences. Guest guest
Hi, Alice Thanks for the thought. It also happens in the upper teeth, and moves around, from one time to the next. It does not feel like muscle stuff. I do sometimes get a sharp spasm right in the middle of my head, like a knife going down through the center of my head/face when I yawn. That releases pretty fast, so I dont worry about it. I think that is jaw pain. Regards Sunny > Could this actually be jaw pain you are feeling in your teeth? Guest guest
Me too! In fact, I can't even have the new fillings because my teeth hurt too much with it. I had many of my silver fillings redone with the new stuff and they had to remove them all and put the silver back in due to the pain I had with it. I am also finding that when I have crowns put in, I have the same problem - has anyone else had this problem with fillings and crowns? Clara Clara CJW526@...
