Well just a little update before I go out running errands, it is baby gate day

for the 9 month old who is now crawling backwards. The cable people came and

hooked everything up and I managed to get the computer reset upstairs. Moved all

the furniture and what not and to me that is all a huge accomplishment.I am

thinking that today will be the day he starts going forward in his crawling.

Went to get gas this morning and with all these shootings in this area I was

preety nervous and kept looking over my shoulder. Will catch up on e mails

later. I hope everyone has a great day.

The little guy is really growing up, isn't he! Do you have the rest of your

baby-safety stuff (i.e. cabinet latches, electrical outlet covers) up/out

already? They really are cute once they get mobile, but they really need

constant supervision at that point! Enjoy him!

Actually we did the rest of the stuff before we adopted because the county came

in to inspect during our home study but at the time we needed the money for the

baby gates for other stuff so we returned them and waited until now when we

actually really need them. What we found is we really needed to reconfigure our

living arrangement. We have always spent most of our time in our bedroom and now

we neeed to be in the main living area of the house and we had way too much

furniture and stuff. I am really liking the way we did things and Skyler is

really happy playing in a big open space with his toys. Next week I have

playgroup at my house it rotates every six weeks since we are a group of six and

most of the other babies are crawling or walking even. I really look forward to

playgroup it is Wednesday mornings from 9-11:30 I joined this mom's group in my

area and this morning I went to a recipe exchange and the topic was chocolate,

you bring a treat and the recipe for everyone. I brought the chocolate pumpkin

muffins, they were a huge hit.Take care and be well. BTW I really enjoyed seeing

Thanks, Zephyr! She is even cuter now as she has started losing her teeth!

Last night she pulled her first two teeth and was sooooo excited (she is not 5

until December, but the dentist says this does happen, especially since she cut

her first at 4 months). So the Tooth Fairy came, left a trail of pixie dust

(gold glitter) and left $2.50. $1.00 per tooth and a bonus for losing more

than one at a time. opened the box containing the money this morning and

closed it quickly. Just as serious as you please, she said " I need to be losing

more teeth. " We asked why and she said " Because I like this MONEY!!!! " So

things have been rather buzzy at my house! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Yes! I went through a grocery store parking lot and someone moved

inside a van and I jumped. Really jumped. It was just a women getting

ready to get out, but boy. But really, what are we looking for? I

think that is part of the stress, not knowing and how far away.

Luckily, she is a saver. But she has her eye on this thing at Walmart that

makes glittered flowers, jewelry, etc. She knows it is $24.97 so she is keeping

they know where the shooter was located. It was a tarot card with " I am God "

I was told that this morning that is realy sick and it is amazing the amoount of

fear that this is generating. You really hate to leave the house. One of my

clients today is a high up police official in this area and I will ask her her

this reminded me of a funny story...my friend's daughter was about to

lose one of her first teeth (lower) and she was so excited when it

got really loose. I took her to a coffee shop and bought her a cookie

and the tooth must have fallen off while chewing and she SWALLOWED

IT! Didn't realize until later when she was done eating. She was so

crushed and cried...Poor thing! So I drew her a picture of her tooth

to put under her pillow so that the tooth fairy would at least see

what it looked like--that helped to make her feel better.

Re: looking up one little step at a time

this reminded me of a funny story...my friend's daughter was about to

lose one of her first teeth (lower) and she was so excited when it

got really loose. I took her to a coffee shop and bought her a cookie

and the tooth must have fallen off while chewing and she SWALLOWED

IT! Didn't realize until later when she was done eating. She was so

crushed and cried...Poor thing! So I drew her a picture of her tooth

to put under her pillow so that the tooth fairy would at least see

what it looked like--that helped to make her feel better.

All is well out here, Zephyr..thanks for asking! Been busy with my

mary kay stuff (made $800 in September--and I was on vacation for

half of it..yay!) I'm really enjoying the business---it feels like

an everlasting slumber party...lol! I'm SOO NOT a makeup person so

people are surprised that I actually do this...I'm more into the skin

care part of it and I get to hang out with the GIRLS!

MIL update...she's almost done with her chemo and is such a trooper.

I'm taking her out to watch Apollo 13 on IMAX this weekend and then

we are going to Apple Hill (where they have all kinds of apple

orchards, harvest festivals, pumpkin patches) I'm saving my points so

I can get a caramel apple there...mmmmmm....have to stay away from

the pies though!
