Guest guest
I'm with you. I definitely have lots to learn. My doctor has me checking my Blood sugar in the AM only. The best way to get a good low reading in the AM is to have a sugar snack at 10pm. If I have a protein snack in the PM it is a bit higher and if I have no pm snack it is even higher. I am more than a little confused! I know the sugar can't be good but it does seem that the worse I eat the better the AM blood test. Can anyone help me understand this?? Carol Heesen What I don't understand is when I eat something horrible (like Thanksgiving meal) I had the lowest reading ever (140) but when I do everything right I get readings anywhere in a range of 150 to 220 usually about 170. So, it's always a surprise.

Guest guest
Out of curiosity, is there a reason to wait an hour after meals to do the stationary bike? I ride my bike as well after each meal but usually right after I eat - that way, the exercise has a chance to " work " before my after meal reading so I know if it's working. Seems like if you are exercising right after, when your body is trying to digest, it might burn off the carbs better? Sandy Re: glucophage effect What works for me.........
