Thanks for responding though, it is nice > to talk to others who are dealing with this illness. > Thanks, Do you suppose that they are saying that the type 1 (of course) is because you don't produce insulin and the type 2 is referring to the insulin resistance? I would suspect that with all of the people who have diabetes that there are many who fit into various profiles. Recently there is what has been coined 'type 1.5'... I'm sure there are various points along both the type 1 and type 2 scale that overlap, and this is where he is saying you have both. Guest guest
The other thing is he hasn't really offered any other information or said how the treatment should be adjusted, all he did was try me on Symlin which apparently did not do anything at all even though I went up to the max dose. I was really hoping it would help. Now I'm kind of at a loss, I'm trying to exercise more, but it's hard feeling as bad as I do and being alone trying to do it, and it starts out so high in the morning,I spend half the day trying get it lower and I have been unemployed for more than a year and that hasn't helped with my activity level. (That's quite a run on sentence, but it's a good way of showing how it feels) It's like a vicious cycle.
