Guest guest
Thanks, Tish! I appreciate this so much. I've heard you can even use a hydrocortisone cream. Something like 1/8 of a tube per day or something. I can't remember for sure. But another option To think about. I'm glad to know I can go ahead and throw out my Cortef now. LOL in Va. I have to smile at this because I found out the hard way that they loose their potency after more than a year. I switched off of Cortef and started using IsoCort because Cortef really upset my stomach. Anyway a while back I ran out of IsoCort before my new order arrived and had to resort to using my over 1 year old Cortef, which I had stored in the refrigerator for some time. Well, it seemed to have almost no cortisol in it and I got almost no effect. It ended up being hard on me and I did not feel too well, sort of like stopping the adrenal support suddenly. So, in my opinion it would have been safer to use 1 teaspoon of licorice root for every 4-5 mg of cortef or to look in a supplement store for a whole adrenal glandular to use for a while untill my IsoCort came.
