Grammy Pat, I am so sorry to hear this. It is not going to be easy. Please don't wait to long to go see your mom. If they told you it would be 6 months to a year then the sooner you go the better. I will pray for peace of acceptence in what will happen. I know what you are facing and it is not going to be easy. Just remember you will not be alone..we are all here for you. putting a shunt in her chestto make it easier to give the chemo. There is no sign of cancer anywhere else but there are several tumors in the liver so they cannot operate on it. She is too old for a transplant. The doctors are saying 6 months to a year. My sisters have not told her that part. I don't get an opinion but since I am not there, there is not much I can do. I wanted to go to Pa while she is having the treatments but my sister wants me to wait and when the treatments are done and Mom feels better she wants to bring her here for a visit. Get her out of the winter weather and such. I really appreciate all the prayers and cards that were sent and my Mom just loved getting them. She got 20 cards in one day and the mail person at the hospital said she must be awfully special. If anyone wants to send ,her home

GrammyPat,

I can really relate to your mom's situation. My dad had liver cancer. I hope and pray that your mom will be able to come and visit.....she will be so proud of your weight loss efforts.

Hugs,

Thanks Pepper. I might go up for my birthday next month. My granddaughter's birthday is the week before mine so that will be a good excuse and Mom wont think its just because of her.
