Guest guest
Hi . Thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to write such an in depth reply! Your info is JUST what I needed. Hope your hands UN-cramped quickly after you wrote. I printed out what you wrote and will check it out with my insurance company and then approach my doc. Thanks and Best Wishes, Anita > As A Physical Therapist Assistant, here are my suggestions.1. Find out what your insurance will cover as far as physical therapy. Some insurances won't pay for a chronic condition, however if the script for P.T. from the Dr stated muscle strain, or pain or myofascial pain syndrome, something like that then they probable will pay. a lot of insurance will only give you a certain amount of visits per episode. Yes some therapist do massage therapy, I do, but again if all you do is massage therapy in the treatment a lot of insurances will deny payment, so we always try to include exercises also. I would look for a therapist who does manual therapy. There are many types of manual therapy. strain counter strain, cranio sacral therapy, myofascial release, soft tissue mobilization, viseral manipulation etc. sometimes when I have muscle soreness I'll have another coworker do myofascial release on my and that works really well for the pain and spasm. The question someone said about after they > align me will I stay aligned? Some times, and sometimes not. If you have muscle that are wear that go into spam pulling the pelvis out of alignment you can put it back, but another strain may pull it back out again. For those who can tolerate some exercises, that were that comes in, To strengthen the muscles that hold you in alignment to help keep you there. The question someone asked about what causes the soreness when it isn't lactate? We do not always know why a person has a spasm when they come to therapy, just what techniques to try to get rid of them. There are many reasons a person can be in spasm. to many to list, my hands ate getting ready to cramps now. Hope this was helpful. in Michigan
