Guest guest
Insurance after a diagnosis is a tricky thing. In 1998 I had been treated for Lupus vasculitis of the CNS for months and nothing was working and the doctor decided to go for the 'big guns' and we did IV chemo, I had cytoxan for 6 months. Right before this started I tried to get insurance, just in case, and my MONTHLY premiums would have been $800 for two years and limited payout for two years! It would have been lots cheaper for me to kick the bucket! If I had taken the policy then, obviously I have survived the two years, my family would be set now for whenever...but the flip side is when your health is bad not many can afford insurance and certainly not at $800 a month.
